This project started with researching locations, then choosing a place to host the 2022 Winter Olympics. I chose Austria for their strength and involvement in winter sports. The theme Dream, Achieve, Inspire – Reaching Heights of Glory Together focused on the stories of the Olympians, and how they were inspired by previous Olympic competitors. The Edelweiss flower, a national symbol of Austria, became the inspiration for the logo. The shape and form of the Edelweiss petals in the logo were used for the icons.
I used Illustrator to create the logo and icons, and InDesign to set the type and page layouts. Photoshop was used to create the mockups.
